EGH Architects Hires Architect Heidi Schattin
Eley Guild Hardy Architects (EGH) is excited to announce the addition of Heidi Schattin, AIA, to our architectural team. Heidi received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University in 2006, where she participated in the Rural Studio Thesis program. After graduation, Schattin worked in Sydney, Australia and eventually made her way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to work with Habitat for Humanity. After five years with Habitat for Humanity, she spent an additional five years with the Gulf Coast Community Design Studio.
Reflecting on her experience, Heidi said, “My work has had a strong focus in community-engaged design where I have been able to partner with a diverse range of nonprofit organizations and municipal partners along the Coast, aiding to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and build capacity within the community.”
She is excited to join the EGH team and looks forward to the opportunity to work with an expanded network of community and regional partners and get her boots dirty on construction sites. We are thrilled to have Heidi as the newest member of our team.
