Biloxi High School

Biloxi, Mississippi

As part of an 800-acre Master Plan, the design of Biloxi High School prioritizes safety, supervision, and instructional delivery for the Biloxi Public School District. The school features a central secure courtyard surrounded by 64 academic classrooms, a media center, art rooms, choral and band facilities, ROTC classrooms, a small auditorium, practice and competition-sized gymnasiums, and a cafeteria. The campus design incorporates sweeping forms that contribute to the overall aesthetic established by the elementary school in phase one. Additionally, the school is equipped with a computer-based closed-circuit surveillance system comprising 150 color cameras, providing monitoring of classrooms, circulation areas, grounds, and parking lots. Students have access to four large computer labs and each classroom is equipped with a minimum of six computers.
