Gulfport High School
Gulfport, MS
This project included new state-of-the-art facilities that were constructed adjacent to existing buildings that needed to remain operational during the construction process. The project demolished several outdated buildings on campus to make room for two new classroom buildings, a field house, and a practice gym. The project also renovated several of the existing school buildings. The project was phased to allow the school to remain functional during the two-year construction period. The primary objective of this project was to update the school's classroom and athletic buildings to be code compliant, modern educational facilities. Additionally, the master plan was reorganized to create a secure campus by limiting the number of secure entrances to the school while creating a secure central courtyard.
