John D. Williams Library

Oxford, Mississippi

Composed of traditional monumental elements which relate to the existing building and its surroundings, the addition creates an appropriate new architectural focal point for the campus while providing the latest technology in electronic data control. The renovated building will contain Administrative and Technical Service functions, while the addition is comprised of new stack space, generous reading rooms, and a new entry. Phasing of the project allowed the library to continue being used during construction. The renovation included the reorientation of entry into the building, modernization of the HVAC and lighting, and updated code compliance.
