USM Roger F. Wicker Center for Ocean Enterprise

The Roger F. Wicker Center for Ocean Enterprise is a regional research and development facility focused on uncrewed maritime systems and blue technology innovation. Located at the Port of Gulfport, Mississippi, the new facility is co-located with an innovation and commercialization center to support maritime systems and platforms for ocean exploration, forecasting, and data collection. The facility hosts the co-location of federal and industry partners with The University of Southern Mississippi in 62,500 square feet of laboratories, training, and conference space. The complex includes deep and shallow water access for oceanographic research vessels (ORV’s). Designed with CENTRIA's innovative advanced thermal and moisture protection technology, MetalWrap Integrated Panel System serves as an insulated composite backup panel for Centria’s Intercept and Concept series rainscreen system, offering an architecturally pleasing exterior façade.
