This project provides a secure facility with associated data processing and administrative support to house the Ocean Sciences and Engineering Laboratory, the Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) Enterprise Engineering Laboratory and Oceanographic Equipment Repair Facilities. The building includes Classified areas, which are designated as Secure Rooms (Open Secret Storage space complying with SECNAVINST 5510.36), along with Unclassified areas including common spaces for restrooms, conference/training rooms, and a vending/break room area. The Facility is classified as a “Primary Gathering Building” according to Antiterrorism (AT) criteria, data processing, This project also included exterior covered and uncovered storage areas, including a separate, detached HAZMAT storage area
