Located in the heart of Gulfport, the new Gulfport High School project involved constructing new state-of-the-art facilities adjacent to existing buildings, while also demolishing outdated structures on campus to make room for classroom buildings, a field house, and a practice gym. Design for this project also included renovations to existing school buildings which were carefully phased in to ensure the school remained operational during the two-year construction period. The main objective was to update classroom and athletic buildings to meet code standards, create modern educational facilities, and reorganize the master plan to enhance campus security through limited secure entrances and a central courtyard.
