Keesler Air Force Base Renovations to Simmons Manor

Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS

This is a renovation of an existing 90-room, two-story dormitory facility. The scope included the redesign of existing rooms (sleeping modules) in accordance with applicable codes to provide a more private atmosphere for its residents. The room layouts changed not only for architectural reasons, but also to accommodate HVAC and electrical changes. All interior finishes are in compliance with MIL HDBK 1008C. Other features include: all doors being replaced; all windows replaced; all ceilings were studied and specific ceiling designs proposed for bedrooms and community areas; walls were relocated as per room layouts.
