Keesler Air Force Base Youth Center Addition & Renovation

The project consisted of a classroom/administrative addition to the existing youth center which housed the children during the renovation of the existing facility. EGH provided complete architectural and engineering services on this project while working with KAFB personnel to deliver the project on time and within budget.

Keesler Air Force Base Renovations to Simmons Manor

Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS

This is a renovation of an existing 90-room, two-story dormitory facility. The scope included the redesign of existing rooms (sleeping modules) in accordance with applicable codes to provide a more private atmosphere for its residents. The room layouts changed not only for architectural reasons, but also to accommodate HVAC and electrical changes. All interior finishes are in compliance with MIL HDBK 1008C. Other features include: all doors being replaced; all windows replaced; all ceilings were studied and specific ceiling designs proposed for bedrooms and community areas; walls were relocated as per room layouts.

Keesler Air Force Base Technical Training Facility Phase II

Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS

This three-story brick and EIFS system incorporates the architectural style of the recently completed Technical Training Facility Phase One. It provides pedestrian movement throughout the complex, and promotes openness, landscaped areas, and an environmentally sound campus environment allowing for future phases. The building supports the missions of air traffic control operation and air traffic control systems maintenance of the 334th and 338th Training Squadrons.

Keesler Air Force Base Allee Hall Renovations

This project consists of a multi-phased renovation of an existing occupied training and administration spaces in a 1950’s era building. Included in this renovation are upgrading the telecommunication services, adding a fire sprinkler system, and upgrading rooms to meet SCIF-level security requirements.

Keesler Air Force Base ARRA Dormitory

This is the first phase of a total site development which provides for 5 dorms and a total capacity of 672 airmen. This three-story project provides dormitory space for 144 airmen in a 4-bedroom module with shared living, kitchen, and laundry space. The four-bedroom module design was developed for E1-E4 Unaccompanied Housing and was based upon increased and enhanced Air Force criteria. The project includes four separate dormitory wings connected by a breezeway to a centrally located main office. Each dorm room is part of a four airmen suite similar to an apartment layout.

Keesler Air Force Base Shaw House Renovations

The Shaw House project consists of both interior and exterior renovations to an existing Visitor's Quarters (hotel). Twelve rooms on the first floor have been converted to officer suites including a lounge area, bedroom and ADA accessible restroom. A total of 104 rooms on the second –fifth floors received new finishes.

The addition to the 9th Air Force/USAFCENT Operations and Intelligence staff directorates building. The new addition consists of 2 stories with a fire protected connector link that connects to existing building at both floor levels. Alterations to the existing facility are limited to the area of connection and an upgrade/ installation of new fire alarm and fire suppression systems
