Camp Lejeune Academic Instruction Building

This facility includes joint-use classrooms, library, map room, instructors’ offices, toilets/showers, electrical room, mechanical room and NMCI communications closet. The facility was designed to provide necessary academic instruction space supporting approved training programs for the U.S. Coast Guard (SMTC) and Marine Corps Engineer School (MCES). The building will also house a Communications Watch space to accommodate regulation required Communication Watch Standers, posted whenever the SMTC has boats on the water for training or to support neighboring Coast Group Fort Macon, MCB Camp Lejeune or hurricane operations.

Camp Lejeune Boat Maintenance Facility, Armory and Boat Storage Shelter

The Boat Maintenance Facility Includes joint-use repair and training bays for boats and outboard motors, parts storage, tool storage, a classroom, offices, toilets/showers, electrical and mechanical mezzanine with access stair and NMCI communications closet. The Armory includes separate weapons storage for the MCES and SMTC, a toilet, NMCI communications closet and a covered area for weapons cleaning. The Boat Storage provides cover for small craft and inflatable boats on trailers and is located directly behind the Boat Maintenance Facility.

Camp Lejeune Headquarters Building

The Headquarters Building’s primary function is to provide the necessary administrative space to conduct day-to-day operations of the SMTC. Staff meetings and training session scheduling take place in a large conference room. Visitors have to check in with a Duty officer located immediately adjacent to the front door. Trainees have required medical examinations and testing done here. The SMTC’s computer network management and SIPRNET operations are housed in this facility in a secure workroom.

Camp Lejeune Training Pool Facility
U.S. Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC
The training pool facility, the centerpiece of this six building complex, includes male and female locker rooms, bleachers, administration and safety offices and utility support spaces. This facility consists of a six-lane wide by 33 1/3 meter long pool with three, four and five meter elevated dive platforms. There is an operable translucent roof which opens to simulate real time environmental conditions. Three overhead doors will allow the pool deck to be opened to an outdoor patio area for recreational use.
